Definition of Burglary Resistance Class 2

According to the European testing standard (DIN V ENV 1627) a component must be able to resist a defined level of force for a certain time. The resistance class WK2 requires that the component can withstand break-in attempts by physical violence and the use of additional tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and wedges. Here are a certified testing laboratory conducts  a series of well defined destructive tests that simulate such an intrusion. If the component passes these tests, it gets a corresponding seal of quality and the compliance is monitored by external auditors on behalf of the standardization institute.
